Cameron Mackintosh Ltd are looking for a Deputy Head of Lighting to join the team on the Hamilton UK and Ireland Tour.

We are recruiting experienced candidates with proven experience of working on large-scale musicals of the highest calibre.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Assist the Head of Lighting in the efficient running of the Lighting Department;

-Cover the LX board and stage LX plot;

-Help maintain all electrical equipment to a high standard;

-Provide emergency cover for follow spot operators;

-Be involved in the load out/load in to venues;

-Attend meetings or training courses as required;

-Be prepared to teach or learn any show plots when necessary;

-Attend promotional events such as publicity and photographic calls, press and media interviews and press junkets as required;

-Being aware of the Producer’s health and safety policies and ensuring that requirements in relation to health and safety are met within the department;

-Upholding and promoting at all times the Producer’s child protection policy and related procedures and guidelines;

-Complying with the Producer’s policies and procedures in force from time to time, including but not limited to the Producer’s policies on Equal Opportunities, Bullying and Harassment, Social Media, Data Protection.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Checking that costumes are in a clean and good state of repair;

-Hanging up costumes correctly and keeping them in good order;

-Carrying out minor repairs;

-Delivering and reporting any larger repairs to the wardrobe department;

-Ensuring that all costumes and accessories are clearly labelled;

-Pre-setting costumes correctly and assisting cast into them when necessary;

-Bringing laundry up to the wardrobe department together with any costumes requiring dry cleaning;

-Communicating relevant information to fellow dressers;

-Maintaining accurate records of your costume plots and updating them as necessary;

-Carrying out additional duties, as required, including costume maintenance, laundry calls, clearance of dressing rooms if requested in advance of a Sunday concert and attendance at rehearsals;

-Providing, on a weekly basis, the accurate information required to enable the Head of Wardrobe to submit your timesheet;

-Providing and wearing appropriate clothing, as specified by the Head of Wardrobe. The Producer will provide appropriate footwear, which you are required to wear;

-Maintaining the Production and Producer’s integrity at all times;

-Ensuring that requirements in relation to health and safety are met within the department;

-Upholding and promoting at all times the Producer’s child protection policy and related procedures and guidelines;

-Communicate with wardrobe department about wear and tear of costumes.
